Africa and Europe

Atelier Annick Handbags and Accessories, aim to bring you a breath of fresh air by putting an emphasis on originality and style. By fusing the vibrancy of Africa with the craftsmanship of Europe, Atelier Annick creates classic and individual handbags, which brings the influence of Africa into the mainstream of European culture.

We make a woman feel unique and stand out from the crowd by designing handbags
with personality and a story to tell.

Our Material

The Kente strips used for our bags are hand woven by craftsmen in Cote D'Ivoire. Printed fabrics are locally produced in Africa, often using traditional handblocking methods. Atelier Annick uses the finest leather and luxurious silks. Fittings are of the highest standard, and great attention is paid to craftsmanship and the finish of our products.

Atelier Annick Bags are handmade in London. Authenticity is important to us, therefore,
sourcing our raw material is a meticulous and sometimes, lengthy process.

The Designer

Based in London, Annick Adjo has previously worked with luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani, Harrods and The Financial Times Newspaper. Amongst her roles at the FT, she mainly run the Luxury Goods Department in Paris, dealing with PR and Marketing, while creating strategic partnerships between the paper and world renowned brands. Her next step was to create her own company where she uses her experience in the luxury environment to create an exclusive product; Atelier Annick was born.

“I went to visit my relatives in the Ivory Coast, and was really struck by the creativity there – the art, sculptures, colours and textures – and by the quality of the craftsmanship. I started looking around and I discovered this incredibly talented man who makes woven strips, called Kente. They became a signature theme for my bags”. - Annick Adjo
